Sarah Keenan, DNP, PMHNP, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Modyfi, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Alexandria, Virginia. Through Telehealth, she provides mental health care to people of all ages living throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. 

Sarah began her professional education at Loyola University in Maryland, earning her Bachelor of Science. Then, she enrolled at the University of Maryland in Baltimore and obtained her Master of Science in nursing. 

After graduation, Sarah spent several years working in psychiatric emergency services and teaching at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland while she obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

Sarah joined the Modyfi team in 2022. As a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner, she has extensive experience diagnosing and treating various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Sarah understands that no two people have the exact same behavioral health needs. She provides personalized attention and considers various factors when developing treatment plans, including family history, traumatic experiences, and concerns about medication.
