Amy Weaver, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist bringing over a decade of mental health experience to Modyfi, a mental health practice based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Alexandria, Virginia. She serves patients of all ages living throughout the Mid-Atlantic via telehealth.  

Amy began her professional education at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, earning her undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work. There, she received training in various aspects of mental health care, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mind-body practices, like meditation and focused breathing.

At Modyfi, Amy takes an individualized and solutions-focused approach to treatment. She mixes traditional counseling with yoga and mindfulness to help people achieve whole-body health. 

Amy isn’t just a counselor to her patients. She considers herself their support system, educator, and coach. Amy knows that asking for help takes courage, but she reminds everyone that all journeys begin with a single step.
